How We Met

Ryan and I met through family and friends; I was friends with Ryans sister for years and we had a lot of mutual friends. Ryans sister began helping me pray for my “Prince Charming” back in 2013; never imagining that the Prince Charming she was helping me pray for, would end up being her younger brother! In February of 2018; he reached out to me, and the rest is history!!

How They Asked

The city of Bristol has always been a special city to Ryan and I; some of our favorite memories were made in that very city, including our favorite date, “Bristols Rhythm and Roots” where we danced the night away to our love song, “My Lover” by Birdtalker. So when Ryan was ready to propose; it was a no brainer where he wanted it done…Bristol. For weeks leading up to our anniversary and Valentine’s Day; I pondered on the fact that he had to go into work and we wouldn’t be able to celebrate, but he on the other hand, had our date planned all along. On the morning of February 13th, 2020 as I traveled from Georgia to Tennessee; Ryan somehow hijacked my radio, and had a whole playlist of our love songs playing across the speakers of my Jeep. When I arrived to Tennessee; Ryan allowed me a few hours to rest, and get ready, and then we were on our way to Bristol for a sweet little date night. First stop was “Kil’n Time Ceramics”, where we each painted a ceramic for our future home. I of course was over the moon smitten, and thought painting was my ‘big surprise’ for the night; little did I know, it was just the beginning. After we painted; Ryan took me to one of our favorite restaurants, “620 State.” We indulged in a lovely dinner, and then took a stroll down the streets of our favorite city. While walking; Ryan decided to take me on top of the Bristol Hotel, to “look at the view”. We made our way to the rooftop; and there on top of the Bristol Hotel, overlooking the beautiful city where we had made so many memories, with all the little details in place…our waitress hiding in the dark waiting to take our pictures, flowers, a sweet couple who surprised us both with drinks, hugs and well wishes…the man of my dreams got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! It was the most perfect night; in the most perfect city, with the most perfect man, ending with the most perfect proposal. Except my proposal story didn’t just end there; the very next night I had the opportunity to say “YES!” one more time, as two little boys got down on one knee and proposed to me just like their daddy has the night before. The same little boys whom I had fell in love with just as fast as I had fallen in love with their daddy.

I can’t wait to marry not just one Fletcher man; but THREE…The man of my dreams; and two little extra blessings that I will soon have the privilege of calling my sons. I’m a blessed woman; and we are becoming “The Fletcher Four”
