How We Met
In 2011, we happened to join the same joint-university internship programme in Chongqing, China.
how they asked
I always knew that I wanted to propose to Cheryl in the most romantic way possible. I wanted to do something that showed how much Iove her and so I decided to teach myself how to play the guitar so that I could play Cheryl’s favorite song and sing to her when I proposed. I was also determined to propose in the most beautiful place in the world.
Not being from London I had no idea where to start when it came to finding somewhere to propose so I contacted The One Romance who are luxury proposal planners (based in London) and asked them for their help. They found me the most beautiful old chapel in the center of London which I hired exclusively for the proposal. They then filled the entire venue with thousands of rose petals, candles, and photos of the two of us, all ready for the proposal!
On the evening of the proposal, Cheryl, her brother, and sister-in-law came and I headed out for the evening. I told Cheryl’s I had heard about a beautiful chapel and suggested we went and had a look…. little did she know her life was about to change forever!
As we entered the chapel, a violinist and singer were performing Cheryl’s favorite songs as we then walked down the aisle lit by candles and fairy lights. In the end, there were photos from our travels around the world, a bouquet of 50 Long-stemmed red roses and a phonebook that I had made for her.
As Cheryl read through the book, I got ready for the performance of my life by picking up a guitar and serenaded her with a love song! I had learned to play the guitar, especially for this night! It was then the moment I had been waiting for when I got down on one knee and asked Cheryl to be my wife. SHE SAID YES!!!
