How We Met: Wesley and I met last June; he was in his baseball season for the Camden Riversharks. We were set up by a mutual friend, who introduced me after one of Wes’s games. Wesley asked me on a date, ever since we have been together!
We thought it was too good to be true, but good things do happen to those who wait! This is a picture of the day Wes asked me to be his girlfriend on top of the Ferris wheel on Navy Pier in Chicago! He is an awesome planner and the most thoughtful man I have ever met!
how they asked: Wesley and I live in New Jersey during Wes’s baseball season, but his family lives in Chicago. Wes has off for a long 4 days during the all-star break for his league. He asked me to go with him to visit his family, so of course I said yes! He also wanted my parents to come with us to meet his parents. My parents said there was no way they could take off work so of course I .
Earlier in the week Wes mentioned going to Navy Pier in downtown Chicago to see some friends. Tuesday afternoon at the Navy Pier in Chicago, Wes wanted to sit on a bench to relax and wait for his friends. Soon after, Wes said wait is that in the sky and I looked up and it was a banner “I love u Chelsea, Marry Me?!”
I couldn’t believe it, I turned around and he was on one knee, saying he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I said yes, of course.
When we got back to his house my mom and my best friend were there. I couldn’t believe that everyone planned this special occasion for me and how it was the most perfect day I could ever imagine!
