Wedding Venue Proposal

How We Met: Tim and I met online. Shocking because I’m young and that’s totally not the norm when you’re 26 years old. We met when I was student teaching. My friends told me I would find someone after going through a breakup; I found it hard to believe. So being my outgoing self that I am, I listened to them and went online. One day, I logged into my account of Plenty of Fish and noticed I had a message. It was from a man who lived in the same city I did and grew up in so I had to respond. He was handsome and seemed to have all the qualities I was looking for in a man..exceeding my expectations, I thought it was too good to be true. After we spoke and went on our first date, I knew right away he was the one. Our first date went from one city to another, hours upon hours. I didn’t get home until after 2:00 in the morning. Yikes! After our first date we hung out every single day! It was crazy how quickly we happened to fall in love.

how they asked: On March 14, 2015 we went to go and look at a barn venue that we wanted to have our wedding at. We we’re not yet engaged and planning a wedding.. Crazy huh? But that day it changed! After we toured the Cobblestone barn in Ann Arbor, Tim wanted to look around at where we could “place the chairs down for the ceremony.” Well while walking around the barn, we noticed a cute old fashion house with a porch(I have a thing for the southern style houses with porches,) and a bench so Tim thought we should “take a picture” on the bench. As I sat down, I moved my purse and happened to spot a ring box. He asked me if this is the place I wanted to get married, and after I responded he said, then let’s make this official! His mom was “taking our photo,” but really was recording the entire proposal! I was completely shocked! Needless to say, I will be his wife! 10-8-16 is our wedding day, at the same place that he proposed to me at !
