Victoria and Tim
How We Met
I met Tim July 2nd on our first date. It was pouring rain the whole day, like good ole Georgia rain. I had been texting with my two close girlfriends that day and wanted to reschedule for another day when the weather would be better. They made sure I stayed the course and didn’t wear my old, cruddy Chacos for the date (hey, in my defense, they make great rain shoes).
That date was all it took. We met at a downtown bar in Savannah for an afternoon cocktail and after 7 hours of conversation, laughs, and the worst grilled cheese; I knew I had to know more about this guy. I had to know more about this guy who made me belly laugh so hard on the first date yet had such a familiarity from the start. We hung out the next day and then the next and the rest is history.
how they asked
Tim proposed at our favorite B&B in Madison, Ga after a morning walk with coffee. We love to get up early, sip on coffee and explore. We had walked down to Lake Oconee to watch the sunrise and were walking back for breakfast when he turned around with tears in his eyes. His sweet words are something I will cherish forever.
We decided to keep the big news to ourselves all day. We went and enjoyed a local festival, where we actually bought some homemade items that will be used at our wedding in May at the B&B where he proposed.
