how we met
John and I, both Active Duty Officers, met while serving on 1BCT 82nd Airborne Division. John apparently attempted to get my attention but it did not work, fast forward a year later he, he reached out to me and we’ve been inseparable since then.
how they asked
Our proposal was nothing special. It happened right before midnight on the 22nd of February 2017. John woke up in the middle of the night and started telling me how special I was to him and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I thought he was sleep-talking and so… I agreed with him, patted him of the chest and went back to bed. The next morning, he asked if I really meant to agree with him. I said yes and two days later, we eloped with two black silicon bands downtown Fayettville, NC.
