Engagement Proposal Ideas in On the Spanish steps in Rome with wedding bells playing

How We Met

Josh and I met three years ago via Instagram. It was love at first like! We met up and three dates later were in a relationship. It was so out of character for both of us but we just knew it was meant to be.

Everything moved fast from moving in together after six months to meeting friends and family. Three years later and we are stronger than ever. We have little bickers but honestly, they are quite rare. We were genuinely feeling like we have fallen in love with our best friend who we fancy just as much!

How They Asked

Josh told to me we were going on holiday to Turkey. Enroute he said actually were just taking a pit stop – at Rome!

When we arrived in Rome it rained on the second day and Josh was really moaning, “it’s ruined some plans”, he’d complained. I tried to stay positive but he was very grumpy.

The next the sun came out and it was a different game. He told me to get dressed up as he’d booked a surprise photoshoot around Rome’s iconic landmarks. “To get a blown up canvas for our apartment’. The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and The Spanish steps.

On the Spanish steps he asked me for one more photo in the middle, as I got up he gave me a kiss and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course, it was a yess!

We celebrated with a panoramic view in one of Rome’s gorgeous fine-dining roof top restaurants.
