How We Met
I’d decided that I wanted to propose to my lovely girlfriend Vanita in a romantic way, whilst still including the element of a big surprise in the proposal, so I enlisted the marriage proposal planning company, The Proposers, to help me achieve this.
how they asked
The Proposers came up with the idea of creating a personalised umbrella proposal and I thought that this would be the ideal way to pop the question!
The Proposers arranged for the proposal to take place in front of Horse Guards Parade, not only because it is such an iconic location, but also so that I could take Vanita on a romantic walk through St James’ Park before proposing.
On the day of the proposal The Proposers met up with 15 of their amazing helpers and gave each of them an umbrella which they had hand painted individual letters on to. After getting into position they put the final touches to the proposal in place by creating a heart in front of the helpers using long stemmed red roses.
After leading Vanita through the park I took her hand and led her towards Horse Guards Parade. Vanita thought that we were going for drinks to celebrate our anniversary, she had no idea what I actually had in store!
Vanita was really confused as I led her into the centre of the heart and told her to look at the line of people holding red umbrellas in front of us.
As she turned to look at them properly, all at once, the helpers opened their umbrella’s and the words ‘Will You Marry Me?’ appeared!
Vanita was delighted, and even more so when I then got down on one knee and asked her to be my wife! And I was thrilled when SHE SAID YES!
