How We Met
After endless, quite disappointing bumble/tinder dates, a miracle happened…we were a match, but not just on bumble, for life! We texted for a few weeks before finally deciding to meet up in person. Scheduled for 7:30 on a Friday night mid-March of 2018, I ended up working late and we didn’t actually get together until about 10:00 pm. I met her in front of her place downtown Raleigh and we walked a few blocks over to Watts and Ward. That 10 minutes between meeting her and arriving at the bar, I knew I had found the one. Cliche I know, but love at first sight is real, we both can attest!
How They Asked
We went on a trip to Key West, FL. With the help of Spencer’s parents and friends, Tyler orchestrated a beautiful engagement. He popped the question on Fort Zachary Taylor beach at sunset. Although Spencer unknowingly tried to ruin it every step of the way, Tyler was sneaky and cunning enough to end up revealing the big surprise. Tyler told me at the beginning of the trip that it would be one that we would never forget, and he was CORRECT! Tyler solicited the help of an amazing photographer, Marla Manes who made all of my engagement picture dreams come true. I always told Tyler that when the moment actually happens, he better have great engagement photos and Marla definitely delivered. Along with the proposal, they also arranged a surprise engagement party when we arrived back in Raleigh. It was so special to celebrate with all of our family and friends! Now…Wedding planning!!
