How We Met
We met at one of our first jobs Forever 21. I was the floor lead at the time and I took pride on knowing most of the staff’s faces and names. One night while closing I heard a super pretty voice that I didn’t recognize. I went over to investigate and found Emily. We started to chat and I found out she was from a village I’d never heard of (not joking, it’s actually called a village), was studying theology, and also an athlete. I decided we should be friends right then and there. What’s really funny is that I was so about “the friend thing” that I almost friend-zoned myself.

I proposed on a beautiful fall evening almost a year ago to the day. I told her we were having a date night and but I wanted to explore a new park that was in the process of opening near my house.
While strolling through the park at sunset, I got down on one knee and popped the question.
She said yes!
I proceeded to surprise her with her friends waiting with balloons and champagne in the park.
The next surprise was dinner where her entire family and mine were waiting to celebrate with her.
