How We Met
We met at a banquet center/golf course where he worked maintenance and I worked as a cart girl/bartender during the summer. He would always come to the bar for sodas during work and then we found out we went to nearby colleges. When we went back to school we visited each other almost every weekend alternating who traveled to who. When we graduated we moved in together and have been inseparable ever since.
how they asked
We went to the Detroit’s Thanksgivng Day Parade that has become a tradition in my Fiancé’s family. It was freezing and all I kept thinking is how badly I wanted to get back to the warm car. We moved spots about half way through the parade to have a better view which just so happened to be in front of these stadium style stands of people and the Detroit News post. Tyler, my fiancé said he was going to take me inside to warm up, but as soon as we turned to start walking he dropped down on one knee and asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him! The crowd behind us was cheering and his brother-in-law snapped photos. Plus, one of the news producer’s caught glimpse of it and even took our pictures and put our story on the news! It was shocking, romantic, and unforgettable. I’ll always have sentimental memories going to the parade for years to come.
