How We Met
We were first introduced when our best friends began dating each other, and they immediately tried to set us up, they thought we were perfect for each other from the start. Our friends put together a double-date in hopes that something would happen between Luke and I, and it worked! We have been inseparable ever since.
How They Asked
The proposal was an absolute surprise, I had no idea! We had not discussed marriage or a timeline because I was in no rush, and didn’t want him to feel obligated to propose. So basically, I did not even think it was on his radar. We had been dating for 2 years, and we came out here with his two older brothers to CO to pay a surprise visit to his dad. Little did I know, Luke was also planning a surprise proposal the next day. He recruited his step-mom and sister-in-law to “distract” me the next morning with pedicures while he went ring shopping with his dad and brothers. He went to Daniel Diamonds and they were so amazing! They somehow managed to help him pick out a ring and have it ready in HOURS so that Luke could pick it up and propose to me at sunset. Once he picked up the ring, we raced up to the top of lookout mountain to beat the sunset. We got out of the car and I walked to the edge of the mountain to take a photo and when I turned around Luke got down on one knee with his whole family there. It was nothing short of spectacular and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect proposal!
