How We Met
Sean and I met at a party and it was love at first sight in 2013. We have been inseparable ever since. We have been all over the world together both of us working in the country of Georgia (not the state) for San Diego State University in 2015- 2016. Traveling more around Europe when I go back every 6 months or year to Georgia, for work, and just having a lot of fun hiking, camping, and doing things we both love.
How They Asked
I was working in Georgia, the country, for an extended Spring Biochemistry course in the summer of 2019 and we decided to meet up to make a fun European trip on our travels back to San Diego. We flew from Georgia to Munich where we took a train to Budapest. There we stayed for several days checking out the sights and having a blast in a country we both never have been too. We then flew from Budapest to Paris so we could spend two days at Disney Paris. I am a big Disney fan and this was a dream of mine to go to Disney Paris. We arrive at Disney Paris and we did everything (rides, food, parades, you name it). Sean surprised me with pre-booking a restaurant at Captain Sparrows (like Blue Bouy at Disneyland) and we had an amazing dinner. He then told me we were going to stay up to watch the fireworks since I love them so much. I was a bit shocked since last time we watched fireworks at Disneyland he passed out at Clarablles and the firework show was at 9:00 pm.
What Sean didn’t know was that in the summer in France the sun doesn’t go down until about 10:45 pm (no joke), we were both shocked we would be staying up very late to see the firework show at 11:00 pm but I was excited. After the firework show Sean proposed to me by going on one knee and holding the ring box that had a built in light. It was so magical and awesome. After two fun filled days at Disney Paris I promised Sean we would actually spend time in Paris, which we did for a single day. From Paris we flew to Munich to spend two days in Munich before the long flight back to San Diego.
