Thais and Julyen
How we met: I have been living in New Jersey since I was 6 years old. 3 years ago, my family and I decided to go to Florida for vacation. My mother actually fell and love with the place and ended up moving there. I had no choice but to follow my family, leaving all my friends behind…but little did I know what Florida had in store for me. When I first got there, I had no one to socialize with so I put all my focus in work. My cousin who also came with us, told me she met a handsome guy who Would be just right for Me. being tired from work, I really did not care about what she was talking about; the last thing on my mind was finding a guy. She told me how I should hangout with him because he also had just moved there and didn’t know many people. Something told me to take the offer… And there I was on my first blind date. It was really a love at first sight type of thing. We watched a movie and cuddled together like we’ve been doing it for years. After a few months we couldn’t get enough of each other and basically started living together.
how they asked: after we moved in together, I started working at a cute little store right by the beach. One day, while I was at work, he told me he was going to the beach to just paint and relax. The next day, I had remembered what he said and asked him about the painting he did. He told me how he had showed his grandma the painting and how she loved it. He also told me how she was able to put it up in this very nice art studio in one of the fanciest places by the sea. I grew very excited at the news and Asked him to take me to see it after work. Little did I know that there was a bigger surprise. When we got to the art store, he told me to guess which painting was his. Before I could even try to look, a beautiful colorful painting that said “MARRY ME” was just outside the door. I didn’t know how to react. Before I could say anything, jul was on his knees, proposing to me. People gathered around and clapped as I said yes and hugged him. It was really the best day of my life.
