How We Met
Zach and I are High School Sweethearts. We started dating when I was 14 and he was 15. Zach’s mom was our middle school principal and in all honesty, Zach and I were not close friends in middle school. So when we started dating freshman year of high school I thought, “eh this probably won’t last too long”. Little did I know we would spend the next 10 years, & now, forever together.
How They Asked
This February I was on a trip to London and Denmark with three of my friends from work. Unknown to me, but known to the three girls I was with, Zach decided to fly to Copenhagen to surprise me with the best proposal ever.
On Sunday, February 23, my friends and I were taking pictures on this lock bridge in Nyhavn. My friend, Kylie, pulled me over to show me a lock that wrote, “Taylor, will you marry me?” I took my phone out to take a picture to send it to Zach and I said the words, “that’s so funny, looks a lot like Zach’s handwriting.” In all honesty, it didn’t even cross my mind that this could be Zach proposing.
All of a sudden behind me I hear, “does that look like my handwriting?” I turned around to find Zach on one knee asking me to marry him. We can’t wait to spend the rest of our days together.
