Joe left in April for boot camp in the Navy. We had talked about the possibility of marriage later but I would have never dreamed he would do it after graduation! It was the longest 2 months of my life but June came and it was time for his graduation! I was so nervous and excited at the same time! I’ll never forget the feelings I had! Joe’s brother and his wife went with me to Chicago for graduation. We got there and Friday morning he graduated and there is really no way to describe how I felt to see him after 2 months and little to no contact. It was an amazing feeling! We spent the entire weekend together and when Sunday came he took me to the beach. He was acting really weird and I knew something was up. We were walking and then he stopped and started saying all these amazingly sweet things to me and I thought it was just because we were getting ready to leave, little did I know. Next the I know he’s down on one knee and proposed with a beautiful ring! I was so surprised and so blessed to be spending the rest of my life with an amazing man! We got married October 7th and I’ll be going to live with his soon! People say military relationships are hard, and they are! The homecomings and our love make it all worth it! So in love with my Sailor!
