Taylor and Glenn
how they asked
Just two weeks shy of our 6 year anniversary I drove home to spend the weekend with my family for my niece’s graduation party. Glenn said he couldn’t make it due to work obligations. After the party, my niece asked if we could get some pictures of the family out on the beach. We had been talking about trying to get some family pictures for months and this is the first time we had a majority of us together. I didn’t think much of it and agreed to go. While taking a group picture with my parents and sisters I could hear someone walk up behind me. As I turned around there was Glenn with the biggest smile on face and my best friend Sam walking behind him. I knew this was the moment I had been waiting for.
After a sweet speech about our relationship, Glenn got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes as he slid the ring on my already shaking hand. My sister and niece walked up to me immediately after to show that they had my brothers who live in Michigan on FaceTime.
Everyone who I care most about coordinated to make the most memorable surprise I’ve ever gotten. I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal, fiancé, family, or friends.
