How We Met
From the bride’s perspective: A little background that makes our story so special! We both grew up in small-town Oklahoma where I lived until I was 8 years old. Then, I moved to Dallas, Texas and spent the rest of my life living there. I attended high school and college there and had not seen Cadon (the groom) in 15 years.
Cadon played college baseball At Oral Roberts University in Tulsa & my younger brother played college baseball at Oklahoma State University. I was in Tulsa for a concert and my brother and future groom happened to play each other about 15 minutes from the concert. I caught the very end of the game after the concert and ended up staying after to see my brother when I saw Cadon again for the first time in 15 years. We instantly reconnected, our families were already great friends, and it was history from there! It was the most special night, because of how everything played out and I’ll never forget how he proposed to me!
How They Asked
Cadon asked me to marry him in the most special way! He came to visit my family over Christmas and since our families had been friends for 15+ years, his family came to visit as well and I didn’t think anything about it!
I thought I was meeting my sister for an event and had no idea I was moments from being asked the most special question! Cadon rented out the rooftop of the Omni Hotel in Frisco and was waiting there for me with hundreds of red rose petals, candle lights, and the most beautiful ring!
I was speechless when I got off of the elevator to see him standing in front of the most beautiful sunset and as handsome as ever. When we arrived back home after the proposal, all of my college roommates, closest friends, and family had flown in from around the country to celebrate this special day with us! It was the most perfect day that I will never forget.
