How We Met
As a child, Tayler and her family moved from New York into their new home in Virginia… which happened to be EIGHT houses away from her future fiancé. She says, “Cody and I have known each other for 15 years… We met at 10 years old and there was no turning back.”
How They Asked
These two may have met at ten years old, but it took a few years for them to start dating. And after that, it took a few more years for the proposal to happen. Our groom is a Police Officer, so his schedule conflicted with that of his bride to be. As a result, the proposal took a whole lot of being sneaky to make it happen, despite all of the hints from his future fiancé. Little did she know that in November, he booked a weekend getaway to Virginia Beach where he caught her by surprise and ASKED THE QUESTION. She told us, “I was just so excited to spend a full 48 hours together a proposal was the furthest thing from my mind.”
Walking down the beach, they took some photos. And, while Tayler was deciding which photo would make the best Instagram post, Cody got down on one knee. Here’s what our Richmond bride said about it, “I lost it and just cried. It was so perfect. The sun was setting, the sky was cotton candy colored, and no one else was around. It was just a moment of me and him, and it was more than I could have ever imagined.”
