How We Met
Scott and I met on Tinder. We had both just got out of serious relationships and were just looking for a distraction. He asked me on a date and we decided to meet at Coldstone at 6 pm on 8-24-16. After finding a bench to it and talk on, we hit it off. Next thing I knew, it was 1 am and I had about a hundred missed calls from my parents. They tracked my phone and thought Scott dumped me in the river because the bench we were on was overlooking a river. The cops were called but luckily I got home in time for their not to be a missing person alert put out. Fast forward to the next morning and my feet are swollen like balloons. Turns out the bench we sat on had a chigger infestation, a bug I later found out I’m highly allergic to. After giving me a cortisone shot lots of Benadryl, the doctor at urgent care wrote me a prescription for a second date with Scott.
Due to various circumstances, Scott and my second date wasn’t until 7-27-17, nearly one year after our first date. We have been inseparable ever since.
How They Asked
We were in town for thanksgiving and Scott told me he was meeting an old friend for lunch and asked me to meet him at Coldstone afterward. When I arrived he suggested we take a walk around the river to “our bench”, where our first date was three years ago. It was there he dropped down one knee and asked me to marry him. He even hired a professional photographer to capture the entire thing!
