How We Met
I met my husband when we were about 5 or 6 years old. We met at his family’s church that my family had started to attend. We had the beautiful luxury of growing up together. He wrote me countless love notes (some I still have) & asked me to be his girlfriend since we met & in 2004 at age 11 I finally said yes. We have been inseparable ever since. Through every phase of life we stayed together, unplanned just completely committed even before we understood.
How They Asked
Rob is not big on his birthday but it is my favorite holiday because I get to shower him with tons of gifts & he can’t stop me lol. So this year he said he wanted to do a family dinner. Somehow he got my mother to be here from Georgia. So my parents, one of my siblings along with his parents & siblings had dinner.
After dinner, Rob wanted to take a walk which we typically do, right by the water, because it’s one of my favorite things to do. As we’re walking we stop by this beautiful willow tree & he begins to tell me how much he loves me, I look up & notice all my siblings, my best friend, his family, best friend, & our parents. I was taken away! I’m typically the planner so to see all he did for me was breathtaking. He got a photographer, videographer & our families together. He made sure I had my nails & hair done and everything was perfect.
