How We Met
Tamar and I started dating when she first moved to Canada, we had been together for around 7 years when I had decided to take this relationship one step further. Given the fact that both our families live in the U.A.E and the time constraints, I asked my parents to pay her parents a visit since family is super important to both of us and having them involved in the process was essential.
During that visit, I asked my parents to call me (on loudspeaker) and that is when I asked Tamar’s father for her hand in marriage! After congratulating me, I asked them to keep all this as a secret as I wanted to surprise her during our visit to the U.A.E. that December.
how they asked
Together with my family and hers, we planned a surprise proposal party at one of Dubai’s rooftop hotels on new years eve. Tamar had no idea that my family or myself would be spending new years with her.
As soon as she walked into the party, a huge banner was opened up right in front of her which read “Tamzo, will you marry me?”. As soon as she saw the banner I appeared and popped the question and she said yes! From that point on, the party started and it was surely a night to remember with all our loved ones.
