How We Met
We met in high school and remained friends and even dated after high school. It didn’t seem like the right time. He was going into the military and I was starting school. Years pass and we rekindle again. After 2 long distant years of dating, and a year and a half of him home, he asked the question. Secretly I have known he was the one since I met him in high school.
How They Asked
He had been planning it for months and I had no clue. He had a special dinner planned for us and then a walk under Christmas lights. We were walking down this beautiful line of trees with lights when he told me he wanted me to sit down and take a picture of me on a bench nearby. He took my photo and then dropped to his knee. He got so nervous he forgot the speech he rehearsed and just said: “I love you, will you marry me?” And our parents and my brother came out screaming with happiness. It was magical.
