Marriage Proposal Ideas in Miami

How We Met

Like many people of our generation, we met online. After chatting for a couple months, we finally met up for dinner at an Italian restaurant in our neighborhood. It was our poor server’s first night on the job. As he fumbled words and nervously stared at the wall, neither of us could hide our amusement. As he walked away, we both started to laugh and, with the ice broken, spent the next few hours enjoying wonderful conversation, good food, and great wine! It was clear from that first date that we adored each other and have since been quite inseparable.

how they asked

Last autumn, we spent a beautiful weekend in the Berkshires and visited the home of my favorite author, Edith Wharton. While strolling the gardens, I reminded Tim of our first date and slipped him a handwritten card with a quote of Wharton’s that read “The real marriage of true minds is for any two people to possess a sense of humour or irony pitched in exactly the same key, so that their joint glances at any subject cross like interarching search-lights.” In the bottom right corner was an arrow pointing to the other side of the card which read, “Marry Me?” I got down on one knee and presented him with an ring and, luckily, he exclaimed, “Of course!”
