Steve and Gabrielle
how they asked
On 10th July 2016, Clapham Common was treated to a surprise flash mob proposal organised by Steve for his now fiancee Gabrielle via TopSecretAgent – the UK’s busiest flash mob company. The pair currently live in Dubai but found love in London four years ago when they got together on the common.
Every element of the proposal had meaning. The yellow outfits captured Gabrielle’s bright personality, the pineapples represented her favourite fruit and her dog was the ring bearer which made the whole day something to remember.
Friends & family travelled from all over the country and from abroad to be there. Her father even flew in from Egypt for the big day – you’ll see how much that meant to her.
After getting into position, the performance started with one of Gabrielle’s idols Beyonce. As the dancers performed Crazy in Love, Gabrielle caught on pretty quickly what was happening. Then Steve blew her away with Coldplays’ Sky Full of Stars, this was when over 25 family and friends appeared from behind sending Gabrielle wild.
The song was packed full of meaning as it was written about people’s unconditional love and Steve wanted that to come across. The final song, which saw Steve drop to one knee was the beautiful music of Labyrinth & Emeli Sande, a song that Steve and Gabrielle sung to each other as they watched it live in Brixton.
It was hard to hold back the tears. We think Steve did pretty well and we wish them a very happy engagement and future together.
