How We Met
Peter and I met when I was about 15 years old. He lived down the street from my house. When we were younger we would play wiffleball at a nearby park and he was really close to my younger brother. They both played baseball and started to go to frozen ropes and practice with my dad. They both really enjoyed training together. Fast forward to my 25th birthday I had a party at my house. We ended up going to a local bar and just dancing and having a good time. A couple of months later we hung out, decided to go on a date but I was extremely skeptical because our families knew each other. I didn’t want either one of our families to get involved in the event things didn’t work out.
How They Asked
Fast forward almost 3 1/2 years later… He proposed in my parents’ backyard with my entire family and his. I always knew I wanted my family present. We are both very family-oriented. My parents have been together for over 25 years and his parents have been together for over 30 years so we both cherished the idea of traditional marriage. In this day and age, it’s extremely hard to find someone that shares the same values as you and I know a year and to us stating that I found someone that shares that.

I know I meet my person but it took me a little bit to really know in the beginning. That night was the most magical night of my life and having my loved ones around really made it special.
