How We Met
We met at a church near my college. We became really close friends. I could always be myself with Fabrice. He was always so comfortable to be around and was a man after Gods heart. We shared a lot of similar interests. After a year of being friends we realized we liked each other a bit more than friends and made it official.
How They Asked
We were in Pittsburgh, PA for the holidays with My family. We went out to a restaurant called the Grandview Saloon overlooking the city of Pittsburgh. It was a busy day, so I really didn’t see it coming. My sister had mentioned how we should “look nice for dinner.” Nothing really seemed to hit me because we tend to dress up a lot for dinners. Ha Ha. She was being extra kind and nice that day so I knew something was different, but still couldn’t put my finger on it.
It was a chilly cold night in the Burgh. When we got to the restaurant I was sitting talking with my some of my family, when my parents said hey all the kids are upstairs taking pictures on the balcony you should go up. I finally got up and that’s when I was walking up the stairs and saw roses on the steps. OH WOW. That’s when it hit me. Is Fabrice proposing tonight? I followed the roses outside to the balcony and that’s when I saw him standing there with roses. I think my heart may have stopped for a minute. We have been together for 5 years, so this was a pretty big moment for me and I’m sure for him as well. He then walked up to me and got on one knee. He told me how he knew he loved me the moment he had met me and all the fun times we had in the C-LAB (Liberty University’s library) as well as many other moments.
