How We Met
Jake and I have known each other our whole life. His mom and my mom met in college and kept in touch since! Every year we would meet up with his family and a few other families on a beach trip to Indian Rocks Beach in FL. I always had the biggest crush on him growing up. So it came as a huge surprise to our families when we reconnected years later and eventually started dating! We started as long-distance while he was living in Austin, and I was in Tampa, then he moved to Tampa where we lived for a year and eventually moved again closer to my hometown, a smaller central Florida town.
How They Asked
Two years after we started dating he proposed!!! He surprised me on a morning beach walk with his family, he got on one knee and I stood just staring at him before saying yes!! So crazy that what started as a middle school crush ended like this ❤️
