How We Met
It started with an unexpected move from Philadelphia back home to NC in 2019. Within a few months, I met Kisan and I knew it was meant to be. We were both working at UNC. He was in school in NC and was planning on moving back to Chicago after he was done, but decided to stay after we started dating. The pandemic only brought us closer as we got to spend so much time together and now it feels like we’ve known each other forever!
How They Asked
We were in Hawaii for our vacation and for Kisan’s birthday. On his actual birthday, we had gotten all ready for a nice dinner out. On our way there, he stopped the car near this beautiful beach and took me out on top of rocks for a few minutes to check out the view. He went down on his knee and popped the question! It was his birthday, but he was the one who gave me the biggest surprise and gift!
