How We Met
Johnny and I met in November of 2012 when we both attended a surprise party for a mutual friend. We went on our first date the following week and quickly started to spend all of our time together. We made things official in January 2013. Since then, our lives have been full of adventures, many trips to Disney World, lots of football games, and love.

I knew something was happening on the morning of December 11th, because Johnny was so emotional. He told me he had a surprise planned for me, and ended up taking me to get a massage. That was the last time I saw him until he was proposing that night. When I walked out of my massage, two of my friends who now live in Wisconsin, were there to pick me up! I was shocked! We spent the day together eating brunch, getting my hair done, manis and pedis, and love notes from Johnny at each place we went.
His brother, who lives in Missouri, surprised me at a couple of locations too with a rose and a bottle of wine. When my friends brought me home, I had a note waiting telling me to get dressed in my new sparkly gold dress! I quickly got dressed and waited for what was going to happen next. There was a knock at the door and my parents were there to pick me up in a limo. After a short ride, I realized we were pulling up to Doak Campbell Stadium (Go Noles!). We all got out of the limo and my parents walked me to the edge of the football field. There were rose petals in the shape of a heart at the 50 yard line!
I walked out to the middle of the field and the jumbotron started playing “The Big Proposal” video. Johnny talked to some very important people in our lives trying to come up with an idea for a really big proposal (this included family, but also legendary coach Bobby Bowden and Mickey Mouse!). Once the video ended, Johnny walked out to meet me and, as we were both crying, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
Even after all that, he wasn’t finished yet! The jumbotron started to play another video with so many friends and family members celebrating and dancing to one of my favorite songs followed by an incredible fireworks display.
Once it was over, we turned to walk back and that was when I realized so many of our friends had been watching the whole time up in the Champion’s Club. We went upstairs to join them to celebrate the rest of the night! Tons of food, a chocolate fountain, a string quartet from the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra…the list goes on. I could never have imagined such an incredible and special night!
We went to Disney World the following weekend to celebrate our new engagement at one of our favorite places!
