How We Met
It all started at Zengo, a cycle studio, where we both worked. We met during a shift that both of us picked up last minute – fate right? There was totally a connection at first, but I didn’t think anything of it. We were added to a group text later that week, and that’s how he got my number. Blake asked me out once or twice before I agreed. Our first date was perfect! We ate, we drank, we even walked around a pond at the end. I instantly knew there was something to this guy. Our second date was where I knew I loved him.
We went to dinner and then he surprised me with a trip to the Lincoln Memorial (we’re 20 minutes from D.C.). We watched the stars, and people of course, while sitting on a blanket. Even after all these romantic dates, our first kiss ended up being on the couch while watching a movie. He then introduced me to his 3 year old son. The way the two of them adored each other, I knew I had to have these two guys be apart of my life. We first said ‘I love you’ at my sister’s wedding, after he requested Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be” and asked me to dance. A year went by and the three of us became best friends.
how they asked
Blake started a blog in late 2016 and I was pretty used to the GoPro following us everywhere. I didn’t think anything of it when he hopped on a chair, at the Zengo holiday party, because I was thinking “Oh, he probably wants something for his vlog”. Not knowing that something – was our proposal. The video speaks for itself, not only did he surprise me, but he surprised the whole holiday party.
