How We Met
I had a part time summer job waitressing at Applebee’s. That warm, July night, luck was on my side. I walked up to greet my table and saw the most handsome man I’ve ever seen. He ended up leaving me his number on his receipt. I texted him after my shift.

Shane’s in the Air Force stationed in Germany. For my spring break, I flew over to Germany to spend the week with him. We visited multiple gorgeous cities throughout Germany and the Netherlands. Our most romantic trip was Amsterdam. We spent hours walking through the city, window shopping, eating sweets. We decided to take the Lovers Canal Cruise through the canals. During the boat ride, Shane took me to the boat deck to “take pictures.” We had the deck to ourselves. He was setting the camera up while I was looking at the view. When I turned back around he was on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the most romantic, beautiful, and private moment. And the easiest and most joyful yes I’ve ever said.
