How We Met
We met at a wedding 9 years ago, I was the photographer and he was the guitarist. After 3 years we started dating. During these 6 years, we have traveled together to beautiful places!
My work as a photographer was the biggest issue for our proposal, I photograph for so many years, all year long surprise wedding proposals so was super difficult for him to surprise me with a photographer without me understanding.
How They Asked
It had been a long time since the playful Sergio knelt down almost every day and pretended to ask me to marry him, always empty-handed.
He organized a weekend at the mountain just to have some days off. I was hoping for it – like every time we went far from home- but I realized it wasn’t going to be there. He was so relaxed, and I didn’t see any ring box shape around lol.
He planned everything with a friend photographer. The plan was: Marco, the photographer, would have posted a story saying that day he would have been in the Dolomites too with his girlfriend. Perfect alibi.
Sergio, said to me: “Did you see? They are here too! Text them!”
I said no, I didn’t want to disturb them!
On the day we went to “Lago di Braies” because he wanted to see it with the snow… he was so fascinated because the lake was frozen! Actually, he was scared because the meeting point was close to the water. And the water was gone! No network to call Marco to meet him in the center of the lake, also because it was full of tourists! Panic!
In the meantime, I was trying to find someone that could take a picture of us on the lake. I asked a nice couple that was there taking so many photos.
In the plan was a chance meeting with our friends. But I wanted to have lunch, and while we were going to the entrance I met them!!
I fall into the trap perfectly! I said ” Omg! Look who is here!!! How beautiful!”
Marco already had the camera out and Sergio said, “Marco are you here for work?”
“No, I always travel with my camera ready, you never know!!”
Me “Finally we have someone that can take a nice photo of us here!!!!”
That was the plan! Take a photo and then propose! I fell completely in the trap!! lol lol
We took one touristy photograph and then Sergio said, let’s do another fake proposal photo!
He went down doing his usual empty-handed proposal, I looked at our friends laughing.
After that, he asked again “Would you marry me?”, he was crying and laughing at the same time, and because of his tears and his voice I understood this time was real. He opened his hand the ring was there (with no box of course!).
I started crying too and I said YES!
TO ME IS THE MOST ROMANTIC PROPOSAL !!!
