How We Met
We met in Florence South Carolina at her hometown’s local coffee shop a few years after I moved there for a career opportunity. Little did I know I would end up meeting my wife! One conversation led to another, so I asked her on a date. She was always upbeat, caring, and such a warm spirit, and I never could get her off my mind. The next thing I know she was calling me her hot chocolate, and she was my whipped cream!
How They Asked
It was the morning of Memorial Day weekend. She always talked about us going to get pedicures together, but we never got around to it. Since they opened up the business after quarantine, we decided to go together. So, she didn’t think anything was crazy about it. We then headed over to our favorite place for lunch. Herman Park was our next destination, so we hung out and relaxed by the water, talked, and reflected on our favorite past times.
We then walked over to the lake where the fountain is located. I felt like my heart was about to explode out of my chest. As we sat down on the benches she kept commenting on how beautiful the view was, and how great the day had been. She had no clue how even greater it was going to get.
As the sun started to set I put my arm around her and said “So, I have a serious question to ask you and I want you to be completely honest with me, ok” as I stared into her eyes she seemed confused. I stood up and got down on one knee in the gravel, and asked her if she would spend the rest of her life with me! In shock she asks me is this for real as I opened the box and
held her hand the tears of joy filled our eyes as SHE SCREAMED YES!!!! It was like everything froze as we embraced one another. One of the best feelings in the world! My lovely future Mrs. Branch
