Savannah and Brandon

How We Met

Brandon and I have actually known each other ever since Kindergarten! We went to school together until high school when I moved away to California. I came back to the Eastern Shore about 9 years later and finished attending college. My close friend in college was talking to me about how I need to find a good man and that she had someone in mind! She mentioned Brandon’s name to me and I told her I knew who he was and that I hadn’t heard that name in years!! So, we ended up meeting once again and our very first date together we played a round of mini golf. I couldn’t help but think that that was a very relaxing first date!

Our relationship is special because we both enjoy the simple things in life. We both love being on the water and enjoy fishing together. We love to see each other succeed in our own ways and value our time with one another very much. I first knew he was the one when I felt it was so easy to trust him. He has never once given me a reason to doubt him. I have a daughter from a previous relationship, and they both meshed so well with one another. When I watch them interact with one another, you would never be able to tell that he wasn’t her biological father.

how they asked

Brandon decided to propose to me on Mother’s Day. Both he and my daughter had planned the surprise together and worked out all the details! He gave me this giant box wrapped in beautiful paper. Inside the box were tons of shredded colored paper and body lotions and sprays from my favorite store. As I dug down to the very bottom of this box, there was a little tiny box sitting at the bottom. I opened the box and looked up at both of them. Then Brandon asked me to marry him with my daughter right by his side!

I adored the ring because it has a bit of an antique look to it. It’s white gold with the band having some diamonds on it with a twist on both sides. The middle is square with small diamonds surrounding the round diamond in the middle. He couldn’t have picked a more perfect ring!
