How We Met
On April 16th 2011, I was renting a car from Enterprise to attend my Grandma’s 80th Birthday bash in Harlem, NY (homegrown in the Bronx) when I met my rental car salesman. I was nervous about not having enough for the type of rental that I wanted, but Cameron assured me that he would give me the best discounts that they had to offer. To thank him for what I thought was generosity (I later found out it was a huge upsell and he got a promotion from it LOL), I made him a homemade lunch and brought it to his job. Being that he was a bachelor homemade lunch was a BIG deal! One year later (and several car rentals at the real discounted rate) on May 20th 2012 I asked him if he really wanted to be with me and only me, he said yes! The rest is history
how they asked
On May 20th 2016 our 4 year anniversary, Cameron took me, my sister and her boyfriend to dinner at the Boathouse- Rockett’s Landing in Richmond, VA. This location is special to us because 2 years prior, I thought we were going to get engaged there and it never happened; it was our running joke. After eating a fabulous dinner, Cameron kept asking me did I really love him and did I really want to be a Ross. I told him “Of course duh!” and went on talking to my sister.
Finally, (after attempting several times to make a segway for the proposal) my sister asked me to take a picture outside by the water. One thing about me I never miss an opportunity to take a picture, I love to smile. I got photo ready by the water and Cameron yelled out to me “Saran”, I turned around and my future husband was waiting on one knee for me in front of the entire restaurant asking me to be his wife!
