How We Met
I had been on and off the dating apps for some time with a bunch of misses, so I was feeling pretty over them at the time when Hinge said Steve was my “most compatible.” I’m SO happy he ended up swiping right on me, and I gave him a shot (maybe it was his super cool ski photos) because we have been inseparable ever since! Our first date at a brewery lasted for 3-4 hours! We couldn’t stop talking. It was unlike any date either one of us had ever been on. Steve says he knew that night he met his wife!
How They Asked
We had my friend’s surprise birthday party on our calendar for weeks, so getting proposed to wasn’t on my radar at all! We “found out” the party was “rescheduled” so I thought we now had the whole day free. (I didn’t know he had this part set up! The party actually happened without us!) Steve suggested we get outside since the weather was nice. I wanted to go for a bike ride, but he suggested rooftop drinks in the city. I’ll take a drink over a bike ride any day! We drive past the art museum on our way to Assembly, the rooftop bar, and Steve says we should stop quick for a photo with the Rocky statue. I told him I definitely wouldn’t want to do that but he insisted and all of sudden we’re parking., walking around the art museum to the top of the steps, and he gets down on one knee, asking me to marry him! I was so surprised that I don’t even remember saying yes!
We went on one of our first few dates to the art museum, so this was such a special spot for him to do as well as the city backdrop since we met in this city of brotherly love!
