Where to Propose in Falmouth, Ma

How We Met

We met back when we were very young. I used to work at the local pizza shop and he would come in all the time with his friends that I also knew pretty well. Over the years we always bumped into each other but the conversation never lasted. Ironically enough he ended up working in the same place as my father for many years. In 2014 we ran into each other again at Dunkin Donuts in our city and we talked for a little while and exchanged Facebook. Again, nothing came of it. In 2017 I bought a purple jeep and he had a black jeep. In jeep culture if someone else has a Jeep Wrangler you have to wave at them when you drive by. So every time we drove by one another we’d wave and I had no idea it was him – in my head I was like, “Wow this guy is handsome and has a cool jeep.” Then one day he messaged me on facebook and we just hit it off from there. Our first date was at a Roast Beef shop and we just couldn’t ever stop hanging out with each other. Every single day. One night, I slept over and I never went back home.

How They Asked

Two years ago, we took our first trip to Falmouth for a work event. It was the best trip I had ever been on. He showed me around the entire town, ate amazing food and on the final night took me to sunset on the west side of Falmouth at Old Silver Beach. We watched that sunset and honestly just fell in absolute love with each other.

We come back every year for his work event, so again we of course had to go back to Old Silver Beach. The Sunday night at the end of the trip after the event party (that’s why we’re all dressed up) we drove back down there and our friend Damien tagged along. I thought nothing of it because Damien is always taking pictures of everything. We walked down to the water and he goes “How’s the water feel?” I put my feet in the water and I remember thinking, “Wow this is such a perfect moment, how does life get any better than this?” Micheal goes, “Hey, I need to tell you something.” I started instantly crying because I could tell by the way he was fidgeting that he was about to do it. He grabbed my hands, got down on one knee and said, “this is where it all started.” It was such an amazingly beautiful and perfect moment. The love of my life asking me to be his forever.

Our buddy, Damien, got gorgeous photos of it all. It was such an amazing experience, something I will never forget.
