How We Met
In April of 2015, the last thing I expected was to fall in love. Jake and I met by total coincidence, on tinder believe it or not. Both of us were just looking for people to talk to, when we came across each other and matched. We started talking and came to find that we went to the same college, lived in the same dorm building, on the same floor, just a few doors down from one another. We decided we had to meet up, and when we did it was instant chemistry. Ever since we’ve been the greatest adventure partners.
The photo above is from my sorority ball we attended, we are pictured with my little Courtney, and her fiance Dennis. We’ve also lived in Florida together twice, gone on countless road trips, to Disney(photo of my first Disney trip third photo), to Tennessee where we discovered our love for Bonnaroo. In 2016 we went to our first Roo (second photo), and it quickly became home to us. The community and love on the farm is unlike anything else we’ve ever experienced. After that first year, we decided we had to go back. We’ve gone every year since, 2018 being our third year, and we cannot wait to go back!
how they asked
On Saturday, June 9th, 2018 at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival we woke up sweaty, as per usual for festival life. We all decided to head to the mushroom fountain to cool off first thing when we got to Centeroo (the main festival area where all the artists perform and main events happen).
We got to the fountain and took a few pictures when Jake pulled me close, and then dropped to one knee, and asked me to be his wife. Through a face of tears, I nodded and choked out a “yes!”. In our favorite place surrounded by beautiful people, I got to say yes to forever with my favorite adventure partner. It’s truly a dream come true.
