How We Met
Gavin and I have been together for over four years and have been living together for two. Meaning, keeping a secret from me would be nearly impossible, but he managed to pull it off in STYLE. Little did I know, our proposal was six months in the making. He began planning back in December!
How They Asked
We had planned to go to brunch in Georgetown on the water at an all-you-can-eat buffet. It was seriously a perfect day. The sun was shining and the temperature was in the low 70s. Gavin kept mentioning how he wanted to on a walk by the water after brunch and I was NOT having it. I was full, it was warm out and I didn’t want to walk. Somehow he convinced me, and I’m so happy he did. As we walked along the water he was telling me how much he loved me over and over again and he finally dropped to his knee and proposed.
I was absolutely beside myself. He hired a secret photographer to capture the moment! Then he suggested he go back to our apartment and call our family and friends. Little did I know, my closest friends from all across the country were there, as well as both of our families, to celebrate with us. I am so so happy to be marrying such a thoughtful man!
