How We Met: Brandon and I met in 2007 at the opening night of Transformers. At the time we were dating other people. Long story short, we reconnected online in 2012 not remembering we had met 5 years prior.
Our first date was at Root Down in the Highlands! As a wedding planner I was so excited to see what Brandon would come up with. I was a curious cat but he blew me away and I was so surprised! It has been one of the best days of my life.
how they asked: Lindsay Hayden, a Lead Consultant for Pink Paisley Events and a dear friend, was Brandon’s right hand woman throughout the whole process. She told me to “dress to impress because her well off friend just got engaged and wanted a consultation for an engagement party at the Clock Tower- I will pick you up!” I was excited that someone wanted a consultation at an actual venue! Especially The Clock Tower in the heart of Denver! The Clock Tower is an event center on the 18th floor of the sky rise. It leaves everyone with oohs and awwwws of the Rocky Mountains and the city skyline.
As we were walking into The Clock Tower I suddenly got a little nervous. “I am never nervous for a consultation!” I told Lindsay. She immediately told me “Oh you are fine they’re just my friends and they are super nice.” Taking a breath I got onto the elevator with the Property Manager, who knew about the entire plan, and told me the couple was just taking a look around.
As I stepped off the elevator and turned right what I saw next would change my life! There were over 300 roses in the shape of a heart, over 10 gerber daisies hanging, hundreds of candles, champagne chocolate covered strawberries and even pictures of mine and Brandon’s adventures over the past two years.
My heart was beating! Brandon then turned the corner and we met eyes and the rest is history!
