How We Met
I guess you could say, it was that love at first site type of moment. I’ll never forget sitting in 9th grade math class and looking up and seeing Andrew. That moment of sort of being stunned and breathless at the same time in 2004 hasn’t left me. My 14-year-old self thought at that moment, I’m going to marry someone just like him. I have no idea why I thought that, I hadn’t said one word to him- I didn’t even know his name. We went to prom together, began working at Camp the summer before college, and the rest is history. Andrew and I dated long distance all through college, me at Tulane in New Orleans and him at NYU in New York. We’ve been dating 9 years in July 2017 and I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Andrew makes my world sparkle and glow in a way that only a soul mate can. He is my best friend, love of my life and my favorite person.
how they asked
For Valentine’s Day, Andrew bought us a pizza making class a month later in Manhattan at Pizza a Casa Pizza School- a place where you can learn how to make pizza from scratch. I had absolutely no idea what was going to happen, even when they sat us at a special table for just the two of us. We made 4 pizzas over the course of a few hours and by the 4th pizza I didn’t think I could eat another bite. Andrew suggested we just make a white pizza and take it home with us for later. We put together the pizza and took it to the oven. When Andrew brought it back from the oven, I was holding the pizza cutter, ready to slice it up and saw that the pizza had “Marry Me” written in sriracha! Stunned, I put the pizza cutter down to find him on one knee. It was the absolute best and cheesiest :) surprise of my life!! (http://pizzaschool.com/) @pizzaschool
