How We Met: Fabian and I met online and we hit it off immediately. I knew that he was going to be in my life for a very, very long time.
how they asked: Fabian had led me to believe that we were going to celebrate his son’s birthday by going to see ICE at the National Harbor and having dinner after. The morning of December 14th he told me that he was called into work to help with a proposal and that I would have to go without him. Initially I was a little upset but I know his job can be somewhat demanding, so I sucked it up.
I met up with a few of my friends, his children and grandchildren and we went into the ICE show. After we had been in there for a good 30 minutes, I was ready to go. When we got outside, Angel (Fabian’s Daughter) says that she wants to take her son back in. Now, it’s 9 degrees in there and I was not up for a second round. Being the team player that I am I sucked it up and went back in. When we got back in, I noticed Angel sneaking on the phone like she did not want me to hear her conversation, which I thought was strange considering she never hides anything from me. Not even 10 minutes after we went back inside, she’s telling me that her Dad called and he said “we need to leave right now!”.
As we were walking to where we were supposed to meet Fabian, I walk up the stairs and notice three people standing by the fountain and they begin to sing. I immediately knew what was happening. When they came to walk me to the fountain, I couldn’t stop crying. I began to see my family and friends but I really just wanted to see him. When he appeared, I was so filled with joy and fell in love with him all over again.
Fabian’s proposal was perfect. He could have proposed to me in his living room and I would have felt the same way I did on December 14th!
