How We Met
Sebastian and I met back in NY in 2016 at the Bowery Ballroom music venue. He was a musician on tour in the opening band and I was an attendee of the concert, there to see the headliner. When Sebastian came up to me at the bar after the show, we had an instant connection and talked in a corner for hours until we realized the place was shutting down. Unfortunately, he lived in California and I was born & raised New Yorker, living in Brooklyn.
Despite the distance, we couldn’t help but begin a relationship. We always loved the moon because it was the one thing we could both look at together, despite being 3,000 miles apart. After a year of long-distance and traveling back and forth from California to NY and vice versa, I decided to move to Los Angeles. Sebastian flew to NY, I bought a car and we packed up and moved to California to begin our life together. Four years, two dogs, and many concerts later, we’re tying the knot and making it official!
How They Asked
Apparently, my entire family had flights booked to be a part of this back in April but due to COVID, it was delayed. After being sick of waiting, Sebastian popped the question on our favorite walk. We always take a walk during the full moon and this time his brother wanted to tag along. Unbeknownst to me, his brother was there just to be the photographer. It was simple and perfect. We went to our favorite trail, with our two pups and he proposed right under the full moon. Couldn’t have asked for anything more!
