How We Met
I had just recently passed the Florida Bar Exam and moved to Tampa, Florida for an associate attorney position. Working long hours and not knowing a single person in this new town, I found my social life to be subpar and my love life to be non-existent so I decided to go out of my comfort zone and try something new, Bumble! I was skeptical about the idea of meeting someone on a dating application but that all changed when I swiped right on Jackson, whom I would later find to be the man of my dreams.

I started planning my dream wedding long before I ever met Mr. Right. So as my relationship with Jackson progressed so did my plans for this dream wedding. Playing off of this, Jackson set up a fake interview with “Say Yes to the Dress”. Fully thinking I was going to be on the show, I drove out to St. Petersburg Beach with my mother, sisters, and future maid of honor for a videotaped interview with the producers.
Arriving at the Don Cesar Hotel, we were greeted by a receptionist and escorted to a VIP section which was roped off with a sign that read “Reserved for Say Yes to The Dress”. At this point, the videographer placed a microphone on me and the “producer” interviewed me about Jackson and I’s relationship and my future dream wedding.
From there I was brought down to the beach for a “photo shoot” where they took photos of me walking down the beach and gazing out at the ocean. Just as I thought we were wrapping up with the photo shoot, I turned to find Jackson walking up to me and getting down on one knee!
