How They Asked
Danny surprised me on Christmas with a two-week trip in an RV to two of the places I’ve been dying to go to – Glacier National Park and Banff. We packed up our two pups and all of our stuff in this RV he had rented and traveled from NJ to Montana, staying in Walmart parking lots along the way. We were only in Glacier for 2.5 days and really wanted to bring our pups for a hike in a dog-friendly area, so we rented a car and took off down Going To The Sun Road. We pulled off at many little stops to take some epic pictures. As we came across one side-road stop, Danny had mentioned that we should really get a picture together with the amazing mountains in the back.
He took my camera and asked an older British couple if they could take our picture, and whispered to them that he was going to propose, without me hearing or suspecting a thing. We took one smiling picture, and the second one he got down on one knee.
We both blacked out, not remembering his beautiful speech as I was in tears and laughter and he was so nervous. So many cars drove by and strangers stopped to say congratulations and give us hugs. It was absolutely magical and everything I could have ever dreamed of. We are coming up on our 7 year dating anniversary and I can’t wait to do Life with him for a million more years!
