How We Met
We met through a mutual friend 3.5 years ago and went on our first date to Coney Island for drinks and dancing. From that day we knew something special was about to come.
How They Asked
It was the 4th of July, one of our favorite holidays, and like usual we were spending quality time together with friends and family at a BBQ ready to set off fireworks and celebrate. After dinner, I was approached by my little cousin Vanessa in the backyard asking me to pop a balloon for her randomly…confused I popped it and found inside a note that read “Roses are red, violets are blue, I can’t imagine my life without you…” At that point, I knew something was about to happen. They proceeded to blindfold me and walk me to the front of the house where Garrett was waiting on one knee in front of a beautifully decorated set up of roses, candles, and balloons reading “Will you marry me?” Easiest “YES!” I ever said.
