How We Met: Rosy and I are from Hammana, Lebanon but it wasn’t until we were in the United States that we actually met in church. I had always dreamed that one day I would marry someone from my hometown so when I met her that day, I was so happy! I still remember our first date like it was yesterday and can even recall what table we sat at.
how they asked: The day I proposed was actually Rosy’s birthday! I wanted to blow her away with a marriage proposal that would show her just how truly special she is to me. Rosy loves salsa music so I started off the evening by surprising her with a private salsa dance lesson. After the lesson, I arranged a limo to pick us up and take us to the next location, a private rooftop overlooking the city of Los Angeles! Rosy was pretty confused when we were dropped off at the high-rise but she happily went along with things. When we arrived at the penthouse, she was shocked. The penthouse was decorated with rose petals and candles, leading us up to the rooftop.
On the rooftop, I had a salsa band playing music just for us. I lead her to a beautiful framed map of Lebanon that said “I always dreamed my wife would come from my hometown”. That is where I proposed. She said yes and then we enjoyed a catered dinner under the stars. In between dishes, we practiced our new dance moves on a custom-made dance floor that said “Rosy, you are my dream come true.”
We sipped on champagne as we watched a slideshow projected on the rooftop. The evening was truly magnificent.
