How We Met
We met by starting to work for the same company on the same exact day on September 11, 2017. I am an introvert and he is the ultimate extrovert, so things didn’t work out right away. It took almost a year for us to say one word to each other- the rest is history. We started talking and hanging out and became very good friends. On August 31, 2018, we went on our second date to a Sam Smith concert (it was also my birthday) and that’s when he officially asked me to be his girlfriend. Three months down the road he gave me our puppy, Groot Sebastian Little, who is our whole world. Six months into our relationship with a lot left to figure out we moved in together and here we are now! We built our first home before being engaged, moved in on March 29, 2021, and he popped the question on October 27, 2021. His birthday, and the best day of my life.
How They Asked
We were on a birthday trip for Logan in Hawaii. We arrived on a Thursday and went on a booze cruise to start the vacation off right! We knew we were going to hike on Friday morning which was also Logan’s birthday, so we didn’t get too crazy. When we were back in our hotel we happened to be watching the local news channel and saw that the hike we were planning to do closed down. (This is where Logan was planning to propose.) I kept throwing out ideas and noticed Logan was getting stressed out, but I just thought it was because I didn’t make my mind up on where I wanted to hike. (He was trying to text the photographer the details.) We chose Manoa Falls. Friday morning rolled around and we got ready for the hike and drove off. The way to Manoa Falls was beautiful and I kept saying how it all looked like Jurassic Park, meanwhile Logan kept saying his stomach didn’t feel well. I thought it was from drinking the night before.
We began the hike, which was fairly easy, about 45 minutes in, we got to the waterfall. As I was getting pictures of the waterfall for the ‘gram I saw Logan get down on his knee. As soon as I saw him, I knew what was happening. The first thing I said was, “ARE YOU SERIOUS?!” Logan proceeded to say he had been thinking about this moment for a long time and he couldn’t imagine doing life without me. “All I want for my birthday is for you to be my wife,” he said. It was the easiest yes of my life. I then noticed he hired a photographer and videographer to capture the purest moment of our lives. I cannot wait to marry him on 10-27-23!!
