How We Met
Trevor and I met at a motocross track only 5 minutes away from my home. We already knew of each other but had never met face to face. Our love for dirtbikes immediately sparked our interest for one another. After that day, we had lost touch with each other, as he lived 3 hours away. About 4 months later, I received a random message from him saying, ‘I am going to come see you when I get back from Florida!” I replied back “Okay!” We actually went through on the plans and spent the entire day together and it was like we had known each other forever. There was no awkward stage, everything was immediate. As soon as we sat together, we were us. We knew each other without even trying to. Since that day, it has been the epitome of inseparable. Before that first day, he didn’t want to love someone. Before that first day, I didn’t want to love someone. But it turns out, we had no choice.
how they asked
It was a special day, a day full of love and happiness….x2! It was the day of his cousin’s wedding; he was a groomsmen. We spent the day getting him clean and suited up. As we were getting ready, I made a comment saying I was going to be sure I was the one who caught the bouquet so he had to marry me next. Now, I can only imagine how hard it was to hold back from laughing. Everyone had known for months now and I had no idea; I was so oblivious. At the reception, it had come time for the bouquet toss. I stood alongside the other girls with the bride standing before us as she went to throw her bouquet. Instead, she turned around, handed me the bouquet, and spun me around. There he was, down on one knee. “Will you marry me?” And of course I said YES! He has been the biggest blessing in my life and I cannot wait to take this life on with him as the Cartmills ❤
